Why X clips need somewhere else to live
X is fast. A clip can do well for a day, then it sits on your profile under everything you've posted since. Finding it again means scrolling, or hoping X search picks the right words. Anyone without an account may hit a prompt to sign in before they get to watch.
That's fine for most posts. It's a problem for the few that explain what you do best: the breakdown a client should see, the clip that brought in half your followers, the answer you keep linking to in replies.
ShowHub gives those posts a second home. Each one gets a page on your own site, with a title and description you write, that opens in any browser.
Adding X posts
- On X, open a post that has a video. Copy the address from the browser or from Share → Copy link.
- In ShowHub, choose X in the setup wizard, or add it later from Settings → Connectors, and paste the link.
- Repeat for every post you want on the site.
- Open Dashboard → Episodes. Posts added by link arrive with a placeholder title, so rename each one and add a description.
The post must be public and must contain a video. Text-only posts, images and polls won't come through.
Pick posts that hold up later
Not every good post makes a good page. Ask whether someone arriving from Google in six months would understand the clip without the conversation around it. Explainers, tutorials, demos, interviews and highlights usually pass. Replies, jokes about this week's news and clips that only make sense in a thread usually don't.
Write the description for that visitor. Say what the video covers, who's in it and why it's worth two minutes. If the clip is part of something longer, like a podcast episode or a YouTube video, say so and link to it.
X works best next to another source
Because X posts are added by hand, X on its own makes a small site. Most people pair it with a source that updates itself, such as a YouTube channel, a TikTok account or a podcast feed. The site then fills up on its own, and your X clips sit in among everything else.
