ShowHub and Podpage, side by side

Both build a website with a page for every episode from the feed your podcast host already publishes, and neither hosts your audio. Podpage does more for an audio podcast's listeners: email signups, voicemail and reviews. ShowHub covers shows that also live on YouTube, SoundCloud, Twitch or Kick, searches the words spoken in every episode, adds pages to an existing WordPress site, and has a free plan.

Where ShowHub does more

  1. A site that isn’t only a podcast

ShowHub builds pages from a podcast feed, a YouTube channel, Spotify or Apple Podcasts, and on Business from SoundCloud, TikTok, Twitch and Kick too. A musician or a streamer with no podcast feed gets the same page per track, video or stream, and when a video and an audio episode match, they share one page with a switch between watching and listening.

    ShowHub for video creators

    On Podpage

Podpage starts from your podcast’s RSS feed. On its Pro plan it can add a matching YouTube video to an episode page and import new YouTube videos to a separate video page.

  2. Keep your WordPress site

The free ShowHub plugin adds an Episodes page and a page for every episode to the WordPress site you already have, keeps them in sync and puts the player in any post with a shortcode.

    See the WordPress player

    On Podpage

Podpage has no WordPress plugin. It offers to move a WordPress site’s posts, pages and redirects over to Podpage for you.

  3. An AI assistant that can set the whole thing up

Add mcp.showhubco.com to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor, on any plan including the free one, and the assistant can create the show, connect its sources, pick the address, start the domain move, write blog posts and read your stats. Anything that needs you in a browser comes back as a link.

    Connect an AI assistant

    On Podpage

Podpage has an MCP connector too, from its Basic plan. Its page says an assistant can edit episode details, create pages and blog posts, change supported settings and review audience messages on a site you already have.

Where Podpage is stronger

If these matter most to your show, pick Podpage.

  • Email signups and voicemail

Podpage Pro collects email addresses for a mailing list and takes voice messages from listeners. ShowHub has neither.

  • Reviews, comments and guest pages

Podpage Pro shows your podcast reviews on the site and adds comments, guest tools, a storefront and donations.

  • New episodes within 30 minutes

Podpage checks your feed every 30 minutes. ShowHub adds new episodes from a podcast feed within a day; YouTube uploads show up shortly after you publish.

  • Many shows under one domain

Podpage’s network plans put up to 25 podcasts on one site for $50 a month, or up to 100 for $100. On ShowHub, several shows in one dashboard is the Enterprise plan.

  • A custom domain on the cheapest plan

Every Podpage plan, from $12 a month billed yearly, includes your own domain. On ShowHub that starts at Pro, $16 a month billed yearly.

Prices in US dollars a month. “Pro” means a different plan on each side: ShowHub Pro is $20, Podpage Pro is $29.

Which one to pick

Pick Podpage if

  • You run an audio podcast and want an email list, voicemail and reviews on the same site.
  • You want your own domain on the cheapest plan you can get.
  • You publish several podcasts and want them all under one domain.
  • You need new episodes on the site within half an hour.

Pick ShowHub if

  • Your show is on YouTube, SoundCloud, Twitch or Kick as well as, or instead of, a podcast feed.
  • You want listeners to search what was said in every episode, or ask the archive a question.
  • You already have a WordPress site and want episode pages on it, not a second website.
  • You want to start free and pay only when you need your own domain.

Moving from Podpage

A few minutes in ShowHub, plus however long your DNS change takes to spread. Keep your Podpage plan until the domain has moved, so the site is never down.

Bring my Podpage show

The full guide in the docs covers what moves, what doesn't, and the DNS records.

  1. Bring in the show

Paste your Podpage address (yourshow.com or podpage.com/yourshow) when ShowHub asks for your show. ShowHub follows it to the RSS feed on your podcast host and imports every episode, each on its own page.

  2. Match your old links

In Publish, under Links to your old site, enter the same address. ShowHub reads the Podpage sitemap and sends each old episode address to its new page with a permanent redirect. Do this before the domain moves, while Podpage still lists the pages.

  3. Move the domain

On Pro, connect your domain in Publish. Where Podpage asked for an A record of 54.90.47.105 and www pointing at domains.podpage.com, ShowHub gives you its own two values, or makes the change for you at providers that allow it. Your site keeps working at its showhubco.com address while the change spreads.

Questions from Podpage users

  • Is ShowHub cheaper than Podpage?

To start, yes: ShowHub's Starter plan is free and Podpage has no free plan, only a 14-day trial. With your own domain it is close. Podpage Basic is $12 a month billed yearly and includes a domain; ShowHub Pro is $16 a month billed yearly. Podpage Pro is $19 a month billed yearly.

  • Will links to my old Podpage episodes break?

Not if you match them before the domain moves. ShowHub reads the list of pages in your Podpage sitemap and redirects each old episode address to the matching ShowHub page with a permanent (308) redirect, which search engines treat as the page having moved. Podpage pages like About and Contact go to your new home page. Anything it can't match is listed so you can check it.

  • Do I need to change my podcast host?

No. Neither Podpage nor ShowHub hosts your audio. Both read the RSS feed your host publishes, so your feed, your apps and your download numbers stay where they are.

  • What happens to my email list and voicemails?

ShowHub has no email signup form or voicemail, so they stay with Podpage. Podpage's Zapier connection can send email subscribers to another app; move them before your Podpage plan ends.

  • How long does the move take?

Importing the show and matching old links takes a few minutes. The domain change usually shows up within a few hours, and ShowHub emails you when the site is live on it.

  • Can I keep my domain?

Yes, on Pro or above. You replace the two records Podpage gave you with the two ShowHub shows you. Bare domains like yourshow.com and subdomains like listen.yourshow.com both work, and HTTPS is set up for you.
