Two ways to put your content on Webflow
The CMS way. Create a collection with fields for title, date, video or audio URL, description and thumbnail. Design a collection list for the page and a template page for each item. Then, every time you post, add a new item, or wire up Zapier or Make to watch your YouTube channel or RSS feed and create items for you.
It gives you total control, and for some teams that's worth it. The cost is ongoing: every upload is a CMS item, the automation needs watching, and when it fails nobody notices until someone asks why the site stopped at last month's video.
The embed way. Put one Embed element on your page. It reads your connected platforms through ShowHub and shows everything you've published. There's no collection, no automation and no weekly step.
This guide covers the embed way. If you later want a page per upload as well, there's a section on that at the end.
Adding the Embed element
Copy your snippet from Dashboard → Embed in ShowHub:
<script
src="https://showhubco.com/embed.js"
data-podcast-id="YOUR_PODCAST_ID"
data-theme="auto"
></script>The pink part is your ShowHub ID. Get yours free in about a minute or preview your show first.
data-podcast-id is your ShowHub workspace ID, whatever kind of content you've connected.
In the Webflow Designer:
- Open the Add panel and drag an Embed element (under Advanced) to where the player should go.
- Paste the snippet into the code editor and click Save & Close.
- Publish the site, or open Preview.
The Designer canvas shows a grey placeholder instead of the player. That's expected: Webflow doesn't execute embedded scripts while you're designing.
Layout tips for designers
- Put the Embed inside a container with a max width. The player fills the width it's given, and a full-bleed player on a 1920px screen is hard to scan.
- Leave the container's height on auto. The list grows as you publish.
- For a player that stays on screen across the whole site, skip the Embed element and paste the snippet into Project Settings → Custom Code → Footer Code with
data-sticky-position="bottom-right". data-theme="auto"follows each visitor's light or dark preference. If your site is dark-only, set it todark.
A page per upload, without a collection
The embed puts your whole catalog on one page. For search, it also helps to have one page per video or episode, so each topic can show up in results on its own.
You could build that with a CMS collection, with the upkeep described above. Or ShowHub can host those pages on a subdomain such as watch.yoursite.com, built from your channels and kept current automatically, with transcripts on each one. Your Webflow site stays the main site and links over. That's on the Pro plan, since it uses your own domain.
